These days with so many cars and trucks on the road safety tends to become paramount.
Asa driver you must look all around as their is so much going on while you are in your car just driving.
Even with all of this safety we still go about our lives distracted leading to not following safety rules but ending up getting hurt or worse hurting someone else.
Which is bad!
As a Lyft driver who is running his own best side hustle in the world we must be very careful as well as aware that our precious cargo is taken safely to where they need to go.
Without them we cannot be in business so we need to be extra careful as their lives are in your hands!
Check out my video!
Yes they are in your car so you are in charge of their safety. You have to make sure they get to where they need to go safely and quickly.
It does not just benefit them but it will benefit you as well. Being safe in your car is what will keep you and your Lyft client from receiving a early death because of your carelessness.
I see it all the time while driving excessive speed, weaving in and out of traffic, switching lanes with no signaling and even tail gating other drivers.
So I came up with 7 safety guidelines you should follow when you are driving a Lyft client.
1. Drive The Posted Speed Limit:
There is a reason why that posted speed limit is there. And that my fellow Lyft driver is to protect you as well as those around you from getting hurt.
Still you see it all the time! People driving way above the posted limit. Risking not only their lives but of those around him and those with him.
Why put yourself in such a predicament?
Why put your Lyft client in such a predicament as well?
As a Lyft driver it’s your duty to make sure your client feels safe and comfortable as possible.
They are paying for a service so they are paying you to take care of them.
2. Use Signal Lights When Turning:
I’m sure you have seen it or even have done it (myself included) when you change lanes and forget to use the signal lights.
The use of signal lights is a feature that will alert other drivers now you are going to turn. This little simple but effective system can prevent you from being hurt or from having a accident.
Get use to using your signal lights.
3. Make Sure You Make Full Stop When You approach a Stop Sign.
When you see a Stop sign do you Stop completely or do you just slow down look both ways quickly continue on your way?
You probably slow down look real quick and keep going. I’m sure you have done that with a Lyft Client as well. YIKES!!
It’s important that you make a full stop when you see a Stop sign, once that’s done you slowly creep up until you can view the street both ways from in coming cars. After you see that you are clear to go then go.
Always make full Stop when encountering a Stop sign
4. Always Use Your Seat Belts while in your Car
If your a Lyft driver please make sure that all your seat bets work well. Even the ones in your back seat. Faulty seat belts are an accident waiting to happen.
Seat belts can help you from not only the accident but it will prevent you from flying out of your windshield as well as your Lyft passenger.
Seats belts as well as with airbags have a great survival rating rather than a car with faulty seat belts and airbags.
Be smart wear your seat belts and instruct your Lyft client to do the same.
5. Make Sure Windows are Clear from debris.
Dirty windows can prevent you from seeing the road clearly. Especially in the summer time with all the bugs smashing against your windshield not only is yucky but it can prevent from you seeing the road clearly.
Which brings me to the next guideline
6. Always Change Your windshield Wipers every few months.
Windshield Wipers provide a great function for a Lyft driver. Windshield Wipers clean your windshield as well and move debris away from your point of sight.
Sometimes though we become lazy and forget to change the Wipers then get mad when it rains and you can’t see! Not only is that an issue but can become a danger to you and your Lyft passenger.
Check those Wipers!
7. Check Your Wiper Fluid.
Always check your Wiper Fluid everyday if possible. This will help your Wipers keep your windshield free and clear. And if you use a product called RainX even better!
Now that you now know the 7 Safety Guidelines while driving a Lyft client you will be well aware of what you will need to do to keep your client safe and comfortable.

Become a Lyft driver!
With out Clients Lyft would not exist and we would not be making any money! Still there is still seats available and we need more Clients.
But how do we get Clients?
Simple by giving out your referral codes to friends and family so that they can ride Lyft while at the same time you get some money in your pocket!
A win win situation! You can go wrong with that.
But how does a new Lyft Client get access to Lyft?
In this post I will show the future Lyft client what they need to do in order to get that free ride and possibly make Lyft their first option when it comes to ride sharing.
This is what you as a new Lyft passenger will need to do to access that free ride.
1. Download the Lyft app:
You can download the Lyft app to your smartphone. Very easy to do if you have downloaded any applications on your phone then Lyft is as easy as pie!
2. Add the Promo Code:
Once you are done downloading and entering your information as well as credit or debit card info you will add the promo code in the promo box.
You can use NEEDARIDE12 as your promo code.
3. Open the Lyft Passenger App:
Once you are done with setting up the Lyft app and entered your Lyft promo code, you can go ahead and open the Lyft app.
Once it opens you will see a map of the area you are in. From here you can see where the nearest car is. If you find a car near enough to you tap on the little car symbol and follow the instructions.
And that’s it!
That’s all you as a Lyft passenger has to do when it comes to getting a free ride on Lyft.
Remember! Use promo code
And your off to the races! Don’t waste your time thinking about it as the codes are time sensitive. If you are going to use it I suggest doing it as soon as possible.

Lyft: Why Monday’s are Great!
Well it’s that day of the week most people dread! The day of the week that reminds average people that it’s time to get back on the grind!
I love Mondays! You know why? Because on Monday you can start fresh again. On Monday you can start that new plan you wanted to start.
Or better yet!
On Mondays everything and anything is possible. The funny thing about Mondays is that when you put your plans forth on Mondays by the end of the week you may have accomplished more than most average people.
Monday is the excuse to start over! Push that agenda or that idea. Be different and set your goals to start on Mondays.
Yes I understand that Mondays suck! But we must all embrace the suck and learn to love it and before you know it your at home on Sunday dying for Monday to show up.
At first I was like you! I hated Mondays and every Sunday it was the same damn dread knowing that Monday was tomorrow.
Did you know most Heart Attacks are on Mondays! People stress so much about the coming of Monday that they give themselves heart attacks.
It’s true! People really hate Mondays that much! But I know you Lyft drivers out there are a special bunch. Like me I know you love Mondays. Mondays is for hustlers a chance to make your money while everyone is slow you are already ahead and by Friday you are really ahead of everyone else.
Learn to love Mondays Lyft Drivers and Monday will love you back. When you love Mondays the rest of the week will keep you in a great mood. And who does not want to be in a great mood these days.
Especially if your a full time Lyft driver who makes their own hours and work when they want. Hitting the rush hour and picking up their fares for 2 or 3 hours then having the rest of the day for themselves until the afternoon rush.
It’s a beautiful thing that Monday!
So my fellow Lyft driver learn to love Mondays and she will love you back by making the rest of your week great and ending it with a bang!
And the best thing about it is that Mondays are not a one time deal. It starts again next week and whatever you could not get to now you will get to next week!
Be safe Lyft drivers!
One more thing if you want to make some money and have a car and smartphone why not become a Lyft Driver?
Lyft: 6 Easy Rules to Remember While Being Pulled Over by Police
Become a Lyft driver and make money!
I’m sure you have seen the news lately and have noticed the recent assaults by The Police and even shootings of drivers over dumb stuff.
Don’t let yourself become a statistic! Especially when driving for Lyft.
Many times when Police stop someone the person they stopped does not know the rules or if they do refuse to follow them which only makes the Officer more stressed than he already is.
Why do that? Why risk getting shot or being assaulted?
When you drive for Lyft you are out in the street all the time and sometimes you will make mistakes while you are driving. No matter how great of a driver you are! You might take the chance and make an illegal U turn or whatever and get caught.
But when it does happen you have to be smart. Remember the Officer is a person just like you and has their faults. Yes no matter how much training they have in the end they are just as good as their faults.
Why exacerbate it?
After thinking about it while driving for Lyft I came up with 6 easy rules to follow when driving for Lyft.
1. Pull over to a safe spot:
When the Police pull you over the first thing you will need to do is find a safe spot for you to pull over. Doing this will make the exchange safer between you and the Officer and not worry about another car hitting you or the Officer.
2 Turn your Hazard Lights on:
Before you pull to a safe spot make sure you turn on your Hazard lights on. Like that the Officer will see that you notice him and will comply. Keep your Hazards on until after the Officer has given you the citation.
3. Lower Your Car Windows:
When being pulled over my fellow Lyft driver it’s wise to lower all of your windows in the car, like that when the Officer approaches he can look inside and relax a little. You should definitely do this if your cars windows are tinted.
4. Place Both Hands on Steering Wheel
Once you have lowered the windows of your car you will also need to place both hands on the steering wheel.
Your hands should be placed at the top of the steering wheel closely together. It makes it easier for the Officer to see that you have nothing or are holding anything.
5. Watch Your Car’s Mirrors:
As your hands are placed on top of the steering wheel watch the Officer coming towards you. If you can see him he can definitely see you.
Check your rear and both side mirrors as sometimes you will have more than one Officer approach and you never want to get caught off guard.
6. Don’t Say Anything and follow the Instructions:
I know you are upset and want to give the Officer a piece of your mind but you must contain yourself!
The Officer will give you instructions and you should follow. If you need to reach for your Wallet let the Officer know what you are doing so you won’t catch them off guard.
If your going to tech for your cars papers it’s good to tell the Officer that you are going to reach for your paperwork. Once he or she gives you the okay then go ahead and reach for your paperwork slow and predictable moves.
Once you got your paperwork you hand it over to him and look at the name and badge number and remember it.
He will go to his car and check on your paperwork and if you are straight he will come back and give your paperwork back.
There you have it!
You survived to live another day! Which is always a good thing. And you can be off on your way to be the best Lyft driver ever to live!
When driving for Lyft or any ride share company it’s always good to use your head when the time comes for you to use it. Don’t be another statistic or worse yet another news story when all you had to do is follow the 6 easy rules and you will do fine!
Oh, one more thing. If you do get stopped by Police don’t get out your car! PLEASE! Stay in your car unless he or she tells you to approach other than that stay in your car and the Officer will do the rest!
